A healthier alternative to a classic treat, this apple pie quinoa bowl is a great alternative to the traditional dessert. Loaded with healthy grains and topped with crunchy apples and cinnamon, you can't go wrong with this bowl! This bowl also doubles as a breakfast and a dessert (if you take away the ice cream for breakfast that is). Enjoy this bowl for only 307 calories!

Apple Pie Quinoa Bowl Recipe

A healthy twist on an old time favorite, this apple pie quinoa bowl will cure any cravings you have for the classic treat! 


  • 4oz of Trifecta Quinoa
  • 1/4 Cup of Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 Medium Apple (Use only half for the recipe)
  • 1 Scoop of Enlightened Vanilla Ice Cream (optional/ added in total calories)
  • 1/2 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 Tbsp of Chopped Pecans
  • 1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp of Apple Pie Spice


  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add the Trifecta quinoa, almond milk, and applesauce. Mix together. Microwave mixture for 2 minutes and stir to make sure the consistency is good.
  2. If the quinoa needs a little more time to absorb the milk, put back in the microwave for an additional minute, or until it thickens. Once desired consistency is reached, add vanilla extract, apple pie spice, and cinnamon to the quinoa.
  3. In a separate bowl, dice half of a medium sized apple and add the pecans. Add cinnamon. Mix.
  4. Top the quinoa with the apple/ pecan mixture. Add a scoop of Enlightened Vanilla Ice Cream if desired. (If you would like to enjoy this without the ice cream, subtract 60 calories from the total nutrition information listed below)
