I'm a 50 year old strength sports competitor (Strongman and Powerlifting). I've been using Trifecta's bulk food plan since December 2016. I'd been tracking macros for a few years and had started a weekly food prep system, and had used the RP templates, which is how I found out about Trifecta. Trifecta makes it easy for me to include high-quality protein in my daily meals. The salmon is absolutely wonderful (dare I say addictive?), and the super-lean elk and venison help me regulate my fat intake while still getting plenty of protein. The every-other-week delivery option is awesome too, since I am mainly prepping only for myself. Although I had some delivery issues in the beginning, it's obvious that Trifecta cares passionately about getting it right and their customer service has always been a joy to work with.
Trifecta has allowed me to succeed. It allows me to spend my time more efficiently. I love the fact that my eating habits are not a “diet,” but rather a lifestyle. I never really understood that concept until I started digging deeper into nutrition. I’m not that great at setting a food schedule and following it. I may plan to eat chicken for lunch, but when lunch gets here I may not be in the mood for chicken. I enjoy having many other lean protein choices available from the A La Carte menu.
I'm currently on a bi-weekly meal plan from Trifecta. I order chicken, eggs, sweet potatoes and quinoa. I have a high protein diet and am rarely home. Having my chicken ready for me to pack for lunch or make quickly at dinner is a lifesaver. When I get home from my workouts I'm ready to eat! Having my carbs (sweet potatoes and quinoa) ready to warm up saves me time and my loved ones from seeing me too hangry. Trifecta has really changed the way I meal prep. They've made it easier and it keeps me consistent. When I was prepping all my foods (ugh) I would get irritated and wind up just going out to eat, thus not truly sticking to my meal plan and what my body needs to perform in and out of the gym.
I've been with Trifecta for a little over a year now, starting in 2016. I've been ordering A La Carte items and it's been a lot easier having bulk items sent to me, since I can prep meals the way I see fit for my diet during particular times in my training. It's been so convenient coming home from work to some pre-cooked proteins. I just throw them in the microwave with some veggies and they're ready to go. Trifecta makes it much easier to stay on my diet and meet my macro needs and I'm not spending much time in the kitchen cooking anymore, since everything's pre-cooked fresh each week. The flat iron steak is my favorite protein and I would definitely recommend this to others.
For the past four months, we have subscribed to the Trifecta A La Carte meal plan. I absolutely love this plan and have found that it works perfectly for us ... it allows to have a variety of different protein sources delivered every week that are high quality, individually portioned & labeled with macros, pre-cooked but not frozen and most importantly delicious. Because of Trifecta we are able to achieve all of these goals without having to find the time to do our own meat prep in our busy crazy lives and still eat a high protein healthy diet that we strive for to match our fitness goals. I look forward to our weekly meat delivery from the a la carte plan; in fact, we depend on it! I can't rave enough about it ... I highly recommend this meal plan. It's awesome!
I started this healthy eating plan at 265 lbs and lost about 50 lbs with one on one consulting with Nick Shaw at RP. Somewhere in the middle of this we had Nick and Dr. Mike out to our gym and they brought Greg and a few of the Trifecta peeps out with them to film the lecture and give out free samples of Trifecta food. Until that point I had tried all of the food delivery services available and had just about given up. Trifecta was the first company that I used that was able to get the food out on time and when you didn't, your customer service always made up for it. I have used Trifecta ever since and I could not be happier… I recommend it to all of our gym clients as a way to save both time and money. Its funny that a lot of people think that they can't afford a meal service but I've broken down how much it costs to eat out every day and it turns out that the cost savings is substantial enough to cover their CrossFit membership! I work a full time job managing a large construction company and also own CrossFit SCV so I am often out of the house from 6am until 9pm on a daily basis. I don't know how I would ever find the time to eat healthy without Trifecta and RP - I couldn't recommend you guys enough.
