Steak Gyros with Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

DESCRIPTION

A healthy alternative to a fast food favorite, these delicious gyros are a quick and easy meal for someone on the go!

INGREDIENTS

    For the gyros:

  • 4 oz of Trifecta Flat Iron Steak
  • 2 Whole Wheat Pitas
  • 1/2 Red Onion, sliced
  • Arugula to Top
  • For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 Whole Cucumber, peeled & sliced
  • 2 Cups of Non-Fat Plain Yogurt
  • 4 Tsp of Garlic, minced
  • 3 Tsp of Dill
  • 1/2 Fresh Squeezed Lemon

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a blender, add all of the ingredients for the sauce and blend until smooth.

  2. In a skillet, heat up the Trifecta Flat Iron Steak and saute the onions. Once the desired level of cooked has been met, remove from heat.

  3. Top pita bread with steak, onions, arugula, and tzatziki sauce.

NOTES

  • The tzatziki sauce makes more than 10 servings, so feel free to store the extras in the fridge for more gyros!
