We are looking for an iOS Software Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products are essential.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency
  • Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
  • Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps
  • Work closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Requirements 

  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience
  • Ability to work in our beautiful new office in Sacramento, CA
  • Proven working experience in software development
  • Working experience in iOS development
  • Have published one or more iOS apps in the App Store
  • Deep familiarity with Swift
  • Deep familiarity with Objective-C
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles
  • Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving approach
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical plans 
  • Extremely well organized, thorough, and keen attention to detail
  • Like the fast-paced and environment of a start-up
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort with a rapidly evolving work environment; with experience in taking the initiative
  • Work authorization: United States (Required)
