Skyler terms herself an "integrative chef" due to her holistic approach to health and wellness being deeply rooted in functional medicine and food as medicine. Her thirst for knowledge lead her to complete an undergraduate degree in the culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America, then finish a B.S. in Nutrition at Johnson & Wales University (a Didactic Program in Dietetics). She also holds a Master's in Integrative Nutrition with a concentration in Clinical Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health and is a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach.

Over the past years, she has managed a variety of farm-to-table restaurants as well as conducted cooking classes; fostering her passion for regenerative agriculture, functional medicine, and honing her culinary skills. She believes we cultivate wellness from within and feels a strong desire to educate and change food and health culture in the US.
