Demand Planning Operations Manager

Trifecta is the largest organic meal delivery service in the US based in Sacramento, California in a brand new penthouse office in the DOCO Center Downtown. We provide a variety of fully cooked meal options for customers to choose from that match their ideal dietary and lifestyle goals from paleo, keto, vegan, and clean eating. We ship weekly, nationwide for free.

We are searching for a talented Operations Manager/Demand Planner to ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. You will be in constant communication with our production, fulfillment, sales and marketing teams to ensure accurate forecasting and transfer of information.

To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. A successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical, statistical, and forecasting models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective forecast models based on rapidly changing weekly sales/marketing trends and demand patterns
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand planning accuracy
  • Retrieve daily sales/trend report data, respond to chargebacks, and process any further tasks required
  • Research and resolve any customer issues with assistance from various departments
  • Participate in continuous communication with kitchen operations and relay all information to management and sales team
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
  • Maintain the business’ forecasts and analyze product allocation to determine correct inventory flow of products
  • Conduct weekly conference calls with production and fulfillment teams
  • Project manage the release of new products
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Implement process improvement through the entire supply chain
  • Determine best vendors and distributors to improve overall COGS on ingredients, packaging, shipping
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
  • Monitor and create process improvements to support order management and fulfillment
  • Reconcile orders daily with kitchen to ensure fulfillment accuracy
  • Settle weekly orders with kitchen accounting
  • Compile monthly special order requests for debit to kitchen
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, mathematics or other relevant fields
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Location: Sacramento, CA (Required)
